OPEN SESSIONS

Starting this Autumn,

we will be running weekly

Open Sessions where you can book-in, explore the library, pick out instruments and set yourself up on a dedicated workstation - complete with mixer and interface. Bring a friend, bring your laptop, bring your own instruments.

The space and time is yours.

WORKSHOPS

We're putting together

a regular programme of events and

workshops from local and international artists and experts. Expect live performances, community groups, instrument and technique focuses and dedicated introductions to the library and specific instruments we have available here.

RESIDENCIES

GLOSS is available for full-day

(or more) Artist Residencies. You can

book the library for yourself or a group of people with full access to our library and space. All Artist Residencies are supported by a GLOSS librarian who is there to support you (but can also just let you

get on with it, if you prefer).

Since the inception of Glasgow Library of Synthesized Sound as a twinkle in our collective eye, we always intended to create a space that can offer affordable regular access for people to unobtainable, expensive and rare instruments and equipment. Somewhere that is nice to spend time in to work on music, experiment with sound, learn about an instrument and also just to hang out in. After years of working on this - we finally have a home and are ready to start inviting a limited number of members to join GLOSS.

We'll continue to expand our programme of targeted projects like ITEM and FSOS, but now we will also be offering public access through our regular open hours, residencies and a programme of events, workshops, performances etc.
