Glasgow Library of Synthesized Sound is the UK’s first electronic music library.
We are a non-profit, artist-led and community-based organisation offering affordable and free access to electronic music equipment, education, events, residencies and community.
Our work ranges from providing regular public open access sessions, beginner and intermediate workshops, international artist masterclasses, peer-to-peer sharing sessions, artist residencies, performances, exhibitions and more.

GLOSS YEAR 2 PUBLIC ACCESS CROWDFUNDER NOW LIVE
As well as a regular programme of workshops, events, masterclasses, installations, exhibitions and get-togethers; We offer four public access Sessions per week spread across Fridays and Saturdays.
Unlike workshops or classes, these self-led sessions are a chance for you to explore the library at your own pace supported by one of our librarians who can help get you set up. You can record, sample, explore or just experiment with any of the instruments in our library - come alone, bring a friend or make friends while you’re here.

This membership is created for those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford a membership at GLOSS. It features all the benefits of our standard membership.

Solidarity memberships allow us to offer Access memberships and allows us to offer free and discounted places on our workshops and classes to those facing financial difficulty.

For less than the price of an oscillator, you can become a member of GLOSS for a full year. This is one of the best ways to support what we do, helping us pay artists and workers fairly, keep the lights on and pay the rent.
A GLOSS membership gives you access to a year-long 60% discount on all Open Sessions and a 20% discount on all our events and workshops.
This year we’re expanding our programme to include more regular opportunities for members to share music, mixes and perform including more peer-to-peer meet up groups, regular events and features on our website, newsletter and socials.
All members can also collect an exclusive die-cast metal members badge from GLOSS.
